Campers now often choose Teva as their choice for Prime Time (activ- ity of choice) and evening Shmooze activities. “Counselors who have been at Tamarack their entire lives told me they now want to be here and see what we are doing.” Lininger is also participating in a fellowship program through the Jewish environmental organization, Hazon. She is one of 17 fellows in the inaugural year of the Jewish Outdoor, Food and Environmental Education (JOFEE) Fellowship. The fellowship is a yearlong program in which participants are placed at various Jewish institutions throughout the country, and work to facilitate transformative JOFEE expe- riences for their communities. The goal of the fellowship is to “invigorate the Jewish educational landscape” by fostering a new genera- tion of Jewish Outdoor, Food, and Environmental Educators. She attended Arizona State University and UCLA and, after moving to New York in 1978, studied film at Sarah Lawrence College and the New School in New York. An accomplished businesswoman, fundraiser and philanthropist, she has in recent years turned her energy and talents to producing documentary films. Ms. Spielberg produced ABOVE AND BEYOND, winner of the audience award at more than twenty film festivals. Spielberg is the executive producer of Sophie Sartain’s documentary, MIMI AND DONA, which was broadcast nationally on PBS in late 2015.
