He graduated Central High School and attended Wayne State University in Detroit. During World War II, he served in the United States Navy aboard a destroyer in the Philippine Islands. Mr. Dresner returned to Detroit after the war and founded the Highland Companies with his twin brother, Joseph. He was active in the develop- ment of single family and multi-family housing projects and commercial real estate throughout the United States. He was an active horseman, swimmer and skier. Mr. Dresner is survived by his daugh- ters and son-in-law, Maryann Dresner, Jane and Ned Sadaka; son and daughter- in-law, Robert and Susan Dresner; grandchildren, Adam Sadaka, Charlie Sadaka, Eric Dresner, Katie Dresner, and Lawrence and Kira Sadaka; many lov- ing nieces, nephews; business partner, Jack Friedman; longtime assistants, Rebecca Ross, Anne Bonner and Debbie Lewandowski. He was the devoted son of the late Sadie and the late Hyman Dresner. He was the last of their eight children: David Dresner, Albert Dresner, Jack Brimberg, Morris Dresner, Sol Dresner, Joseph Dresner and Betty Cohen. Interment was at Clover Hill Park Cemetery.
