to announce the birth of their son, Jared Levi. Big brother
Evan loves giving Jared hugs. Proud grandparents are
Marla Alter, Stuart Alter, and Denise and Peter Rodgers.
Excited great-grandparents are Sara Kovalsky and Roselie
Ohrenstein. Evan is the great-grandson of the late Milton
Kovalsky, George Ohrenstein, Len and Rose Louise
Rodgers, Ruth Alter, and Bernard and Barbara Alter. He
is named after his paternal great-grandfathers George
Ohrenstein and Len Rodgers and for his maternal great-
great-uncle Joseph Cohen.

racye and Bobby Blum of Beverly
Hills, Mich., are thrilled to
announce the engagement of
their daughter Madeleine Blum to Riley
McCullagh, son of Jeff McCullagh of Ann
Arbor and the late Sandy Desmond.
Madeleine is a graduate of Michigan State
University and is a resource teacher with the
Early Childhood Education program at the
Robert E. Loup Jewish Community Center in
Denver, Colo.
Riley is also a graduate of Michigan State
University. He is a document specialist with
DTI Global in Denver.
Madeleine and Riley will be married this fall in Bloomfield Hills.

modern Olympic games. Professor Lupovitch will
discuss how their participation has impacted
the self-image of Jews and our image by
non-Jewish observers.
