NORMA
LICHTMAN, 85, of
Southfield, died June
23, 2016.
She is survived
by her daughters,
Ardith Lichtman and
Marla Lichtman-
Lichtman
Moses, and Toni
Burns; son, Jay
Lichtman; many
grandchildren and great-grandchil-
dren.
Mrs. Lichtman was the beloved wife
of the late Robert “Bob” Lichtman.
Interment was at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park. Contributions may
be made to a charity of one’s choice.

RUTH LILLIAN (TRAZENFELD)
MARSHALL, 92, of Bloomfield Hills,
died May 19, 2016, her birthday, sur-
rounded by family.
Born and raised in Manhattan, Ruth
was always a New Yorker at heart. She
worked for the USO during World War
II and helped make her family’s yarn
business successful with her charm,
energy and dedication.
Ruth met Fred, her husband and
love of her life for 43 years, during a
snowstorm at a wedding in 1952. They
settled in Detroit and eventually spent
two adventurous years in Switzerland
while Fred completed his residency in
neurology.
Ruth always made time to listen to
people and their problems and was an
astute student of human nature. She
was a lifetime member of Hadassah
and ORT, a skilled bridge player and a
gourmet cook.
Mrs. Marshall is survived by
her daughter, Kathy Marshall of
Bloomfield Hills; son and daughter-
in-law, Dr. Lee and Susan Marshall
of Oregon; sister, Elaine Hand of
Pennsylvania; brother and sister-in-
law, Herb and Claire Trazenfeld of
Maryland; sister-in-law, Rita Saalman
of Massachusetts; three generations
of nephews and nieces, includ-
ing Susan Vauder, Steven and Kelly
Hand, Shannon and Cliff Rader, Marc
Paykuss, and Jeffrey and Marilyn
Paykuss.
Mrs. Marshall was the beloved wife
of the late Dr. Fred Marshall; the cher-
ished daughter of the late Armin and
the late Fannie Trazenfeld; the devoted
sister of the late Milt Trazenfeld;
the dear daughter-in-law of the late
Tatiana Marshall; the dear sister-in-law
of the late Eddie Hand, the late Wolf
Paykuss and the late Peter Saalman.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to the American Red Cross,

67, of Scottsdale,

Litt; aunts, Gertrude Ehrlichman and
Ceil Spector; many cousins and friends
from Arizona and Detroit.
Mrs. Mellen was the devoted
daughter of the late Martin Spector;
the loving niece of the late Howard
Ehrlichman, the late Nathan Spector
and the late Sylvia and the late Stuart
Levinson.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park

HOWARD MILLER, 95, of West
Bloomfield, died June 19, 2016.
He is survived by his wife of 72
years, Roslyn Miller; daughters and
sons-in-law, Arleen and Don Rochlen,
Susan and Marty Rosenzveig; grand-
children, Elizabeth and Jonathan
Berger, David and Lauryn Rochlen,
Rena and Yoni Schwartz; great-grand-
children, Lillian and Eve Berger, Isaac
and Hannah Rochlen; many nieces,
nephews and friends.
