he building won’t be finished
before the end of the year, but the
Scott at Brush Park is already
turning heads. Broder & Sachse Real
Estate Services and Woodborn Partners
broke ground on the five-story luxury
apartment complex in March and now
have a tenant locked in for 4,500 square-
feet of ground-floor retail — restauranteur
Michael Abrams.
Abrams, who owns Mr. Joe’s in
Southfield (26077 12 Mile Road) and some
30 Five Guys Burgers and Fries locations,
liked the building and its location so much
that he signed a lease without any particu-
lar concept in mind for the space. In fact,
Abrams even signed a lease for one of the
residential units, telling the Detroit News,
“I’m 58 years old, and this is not like any-
thing I’ve ever seen in Detroit.”
The restaurant will be an American-
style bistro, and the specifics should be
pinned down over the next month or so.
Residential rents in the building at
Woodward and Erskine will range from
$900 to $3,000 per month, and the Scott
will offer a four-season spa, community
kitchen, rooftop terrace with outdoor

fireplaces, 24/7 concierge service and a
largest carryout pizza chain and now has
second-floor landscaped outdoor pool
stores in every state and 18 international
deck. Pre-leasing is available now for the
markets.
