If you’re 14 or older, you can tour the
city on a Segway with Detroit Segway

com). Or, see the D from the Detroit
River aboard a Diamond Jack’s River
tour (diamondjack.com). The Detroit
Princess also offers a sunset cruise or
dinner cruise along the river
(detroitprincess.com). If you’re feel-
ing particularly adventurous, have a
few hundred dollars to spare and want
an aerial view of Motown, Magnum
Helicopters (magnumheli.com) offers
a 45-minute flight over the Detroit
Zoo, Fox Theatre area and Ambassador
Bridge.

JUST A FEW MORE
According to the Pure Michigan Travel
Guide, there are only six drive-in the-
aters in the state. The closest, USA
Hockey Arena, in Plymouth, shows
first-run, double-feature films beginning
at dusk. Schedules, pricing and other

The Adventure Park, located in
the forest behind the JCC in West
Bloomfield, is great for an adrenalin rush
for climbers of all ages and abilities. With
10 trails in the trees, visitors make their
way through an obstacle-like course in
the treetops, which includes a number
of zip lines. The Adventure Park is the
largest forest climbing park in Michigan.
