O n Thursday, May 12, more than 100 young professionals and Metro Detroit business leaders came together for an evening of min- gling, networking and shmoozing at Will Leather Goods in Detroit for the latest NEXTWork event. Now celebrating its second anniversary, NEXTWork was started in 2014 through Jonathan Schwartz of Plymouth, Judge Susan Moiseev and Daniel Ungar, both of Southfield 20 June 9 • 2016 a partnership between JVS Detroit and Federation’s NEXTGen Detroit Business Hub to help young Jewish business pro- fessionals build their lives and careers in Metro Detroit. The May 12 event featured Sue Mosey, executive director of Midtown Detroit, who discussed the growth and excitement happening in the new Michael Krefman of Detroit, Yana Gaines of West Bloomfield and Shimon Levy of Detroit Midtown. Attendees took a moment away from networking to celebrate Yom HaAtzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day, with Israeli flags, music and a toast to the State of Israel. Sachse Construction sponsored the event, in conjunction with the Hadas and Dennis Bernard NEXTWork Endowment Fund.
