Andrea Teitel, CRNA MS, was recently presented with the
prestigious Guiding Light Award by the Michigan Association
of Nurse Anesthetists (MANA). This award is presented annu-
ally to five clinical and didactic instructors who have made sig-
nificant contributions to the social, educational and profession-
al development of graduate nurse anesthesia students. Teitel is
the president of MANA, an assistant director of the University
of Detroit Mercy Graduate Program of Nurse Anesthesia and a
Teitel
practicing Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, providing
anesthetics in Metropolitan Detroit for more than 23 years.
