BARBARA “BUNNY”
DAVIS FISHMAN, 89,
died May 15, 2016, in
Seattle, Wash., from
complications of
Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born Jan. 1,
1927, in Detroit to Nat
Fishman
and Sophie Singer and
was the last remaining
of their four children. She was the sole pro-
prietor of Fancy This, a women’s clothing
boutique in Southfield.
Mrs. Fishman had a great sense of humor
and loved antiquing, golf, cards, travel
and shopping. Her greatest joy was spend-
ing time with her family. Her generosity,
warmth and spirit were unforgettable and
will be missed by all who knew her.
She was active in City of Hope and spent
many hours supporting blind children.
Mrs. Fishman is survived by her children,
Jeff, Moshe and Judie; 14 grandchildren;
and 33 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held May 17 at
Herzl Memorial Park in Seattle. The fam-
ily requests donations be made to the
Alzheimer’s Association.

GRANET, 97, of
Bloomfield Hills, died
May 18, 2016.
She is survived by her
daughter and son-in-law,
Barbara and Raymond

Rosenfeld, Kari (Nicholas) Coburn, Mindy
(Scott) Eisenberg, Irwin (Lynn) Weingarten;
great-grandchildren, Sydni, Rylie, Taylor,
Jacob, Aaron, Julia, Noah, Leah and Avi.
Mrs. Granet was the beloved wife of
the late Ralph Granet; mother of the late
Linda L. Weingarten; sister of the late Cyril
Wagner, the late Milton Wagner and the late
Alvin Wagner.
Interment took place at Clover
Hill Park Cemetery in Birmingham.
Contributions may be made to the
National Multiple Sclerosis Society or to a
charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by
Dorfman Chapel.

EDITH KETCHEL, 97, of West Bloomfield,
died May 16, 2016.
Mrs. Ketchel is survived by her daughters
and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Harold Peritz,
and Gail and Les Baron of Bloomfield Hills;
son and daughter-in-law, Richard and
Andrea Ketchel of West Bloomfield; grand-
children, Julie and Gary Nitkin, Lori Baron
Brand and Matthew Brand, Sarah and Brian
Lyngaas, Natalie and Daniel Winitsky, and
Daniel Ketchel; great-grandchildren, Rachel
and Jonah Nitzkin, Mia, Zoe and Alexa
Brand, Maxx and Drew Lyngaas.
She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene
Ketchel; she was the last of six children of
the late Lois and the late Mamie Fine.
Interment was at Adat Shalom Memorial

of the late Paul Simkovitz.
Services will take place on Friday, May
27, at 10 a.m. at Ira Kaufman Chapel.
