Gabe is a student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. As
part of his many mitzvah experiences,
he volunteered with the Friendship
Circle in West Bloomfield for the
Miracle League, helping children with
special needs experience the thrill of
playing baseball was very rewarding.

Lisa attends Warner Middle School
in Farmington Hills. She felt volun-
teering at Yad Ezra in Berkley was one
of the most meaningful of her mitzvah
projects.

S

ally Marx of Bloomfield Hills is
thrilled to announce the engagement
of her daughter Carolyn Sloman
to Alexander Michael, son of Michael and
Catherine Carravallah. Sharing in their hap-
piness are Carolyn’s grandmothers Eleanor
Sloman and Florence Zox as well as Alex’s
grandparents Geraldine Carravallah and
Emil Moravik. Carolyn is the daughter of the
late Frederick H. Marx.
Carolyn earned a bachelor’s degree with
honors in sociology from the University of
Michigan. She is pursuing an M.B.A. with
specializations in supply chain management
and marketing at Arizona State University
and will graduate this spring.
Alex earned a bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Michigan State
University and is an internet consultant at GoDaddy in Phoenix, Ariz.
An August wedding is planned at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.

Wimmer 90th

E

va Wimmer, a Holocaust survivor,
will turn 90 on May 15. She will
celebrate with her children in
Florida. The celebration will continue on her
return to Michigan with a party to include
family and friends here.
