His most meaningful mitzvah project involved participating in a clean-up of the children’s section at Hebrew Memorial Park Cemetery with his men- tor Rick Feldman and a group from Temple Israel led by Rabbi Jennifer Kaluzny. Among her many mitzvah experiences, she found volunteering for Temple Israel’s Kever Avot program to be the most meaningful. This very special pro- gram provides an opportunity for older adults in the community to visit the gravesites of their loved ones. She is the loving daughter of Kroll Jonathan and Michelle Kroll and sister of Jacob and Joshua. David is a student at Derby Middle School in Birmingham. He volun- teered at Yad Ezra in Berkley and at a kosher pantry in Virginia as part of his mitzvah project. He found it very rewarding to help provide food to people who otherwise would not have enough to eat and cannot go to other places because they are follow- ing Jewish dietary laws.
