WEDDING AND MUSICAL NOTES
On April 30, big-time New York publicist
Audrey Gelman, 29, wed Ilan Zechory,
32. As reported on the Martha Stewart
Weddings website: The uber-cool wed-
ding was held in Detroit
s Piquette
[Avenue] Plant, a museum and former
Ford factory, which reinforces what we
already knew about industrial weddings
being the hottest new wedding venue
trend. The bride and groom said
I do

under a green chuppah. The bride is a
childhood friend of Lena Dunham, 29,
and the Girls writer and star was a brides-
maid. Dunham who is in a longterm
relationship with musician Jack Antonoff
says that Gelman was a model for the
Marnie character on the series (except
Gelman is successful, unlike Marnie).
Franklin-raised Zechory (whose father,
Avi, was born in Israel) is a graduate of
Groves High School and Yale University.
He is the co-founder and co-owner of
Genius.com, a popular website that allows
its users to annotate song lyrics and any
other text available on the Internet, which

received backing from Dan Gilbert.
A mazel tov to Max Weinberg, 65
(most famous as Bruce Springsteen
s
drummer). On April 16, his daughter, Ali
Weinberg, 30ish, wed Bloomberg View/
CNN political analyst Josh Rogin, 35ish.
The bride is a digital journalist for ABC
News and can really sing, too (a rock
song she sang at her wedding report-
edly brought the house down). Perhaps
because Ali
s mother isn
t Jewish, a rabbi
didn
t preside but the couple mar-
ried under a chuppah and the traditional
Jewish wedding blessings were recited by
the officiant. Guests included CNN anchors
Wolf Blitzer, 68, and Jake Tapper, 47, and
NBC political director Chuck Todd, 44.
Nils Lofgren and Steve Van Zandt of the
E Street band also attended. Guitarist
Van Zandt was in the news recently for
his fierce opposition (on Twitter) to BDS
