Lindsey Dalter and Michael Kaufman.
Lindsey attended the University of
Maryland and earned a bachelor’s degree in
journalism. Following a career in marketing,
she is pursuing a master of arts in teaching
from the University of Louisville and plans
to begin a career in elementary education
next year.
Michael attended Emory University and
earned a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and behavioral biology, completed medi-
cal school at Wayne State University and is doing a residency in otolaryngology at
University of Kentucky Hospital.
An October wedding is planned.

hil Smith of West Bloomfield cel-
ebrated his 90th birthday in March,
but the official celebration was a
month later when friends and family flew
in from all over the country for a surprise
birthday party. The spry celebrant rejoiced
this milestone amongst loved ones. He has
been married to Eleanor for 71 years, and
the couple look forward to celebrating many
more milestones with their children, grand-
children, great-grandchildren and friends.
An accountant with Ford Motor Company
for more than 35 years and then in business
for himself, Philip sometimes misses the
hustle and bustle; but he’s earned an occasional nap during the busy lives he and
Eleanor lead.

Jordan earned his B.A. in political science
