arol and Howard Ellman

the engagement of their
daughter Lisa Michelle Ellman
to Jason Luke Amerine, son of
Ron Amerine and the late Carol
Amerine.
Lisa is a graduate of the
University of Michigan, the
University of Chicago Law School
and the Harris School of Public
Policy. She served in the Obama
Administration from 2008-2014,
in various roles at the White House and the U.S. Department of Justice. She is a
partner at Hogan Lovells law firm in Washington, D.C.
Jason graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and received
a master’s in international relations from Texas A&M University. He recently
retired as a Special Forces lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army after 27 years in
uniform. Jason is a Future of War fellow at the New America Foundation.
A June 2016 wedding is planned at the Watergate Hotel in Washington, D.C.

ames Allen Jones of West Bloomfield
will turn 91 on May 2. He recently
retired from teaching and adminis-
tration. His interests are music and drama,
especially Shakespeare. He spends his time
reading, writing and traveling. He is married
and has five children and three grandchil-
dren.

Justin is the founder of ComePlayDetroit,
and Monique is a brand content and alli-
ances supervisor at Team Detroit.
The couple first met when Justin attempt-
ed to break the record for the World’s
Largest Dodgeball Game on Belle Isle.
Although he didn’t set the world record, he
did set his eyes on the future love of his life.
They began dating a year later while Justin
was living in the Moishe House.
They are looking forward to getting mar-
ried on Sept. 3 in Tamarindo, Guanacaste, Costa Rica, with family and friends.
