The Gary Burnstein Instead of Clinic attending a black-tie fundraiser while paying a baby- sitter, the Burnstein Clinic is offering its supporters an alternative — stay at home and make an online donation that directs all the money raised toward operating this facility. The clinic provides free healthcare to Michigan residents who need it most. Working with Crowdrise, the clinic designed a campaign to make a signifi- cant impact without asking too much from its supporters’ busy schedules. “Every single dollar we raise goes directly to the clinic,” said board presi- dent Ian Burnstein. For example, a $20 donation pays for one month of supplies for a patient with a chronic condition; $50 secures a full course of antibiotics for five adult patients; $100 pays a year’s worth of medication for two high-risk patients. The non-event is “scheduled” for May 12, and the campaign has already begun.
