FAVORITE WINE
PAIRINGS FOR PASSOVER
“The Laurent-Perrier Rose
Champagne (Cuvée Rose Laurent
Perrier) is my favorite kosher-for-
Passover champagne. Made from
100 percent Pinot noir, this cham-
pagne expresses great aromas of
strawberry, raspberry and black
cherry while also providing a firm
mineral backbone. It is a great
well-rounded finish that will pro-
vide freshness and structure.
“The champagne will pair well
with a variety of kosher-for-Pass-
over foods including white meats,
fresh fruits or charoset and, most
certainly, gefilte fish! (Average
price: $80/bottle)
“Another one of my favorite
kosher-for-Passover wines is
the Tishbi Emerald Riesling,
Carmel Mountain, Israel. This one
is slightly sweet with great acidity.
It has fragrances of ripe melon
and stone fruits. This wine is nice
and refreshing at a lower price
point ($11-$15). This riesling
pairs well with fish, salads and is
nice on its own.” *
