She is the loving
daughter of Julie
and David Sidder and sister of Ava.
She will be joined in celebration by
her proud grandparents Caren and
Stuart Bass, and Glenn and Sharon
Sidder, and great-grandparents Max

Putterman, Betty Sanfield and Faye
Sidder. Ella is also the great-grand-
child of the late Ella Putterman, the
late Frieda and the late Abraham
Bass, the late Jerome Sanfield, the
late Edith and the late Richard
Sidder.
Ella is a student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills.
As part of her many mitzvah proj-
ects, she organized a dance-a-thon
at her dance studio with all pro-
ceeds going to the American Cancer
Society to help in the search for a
cure for cancer.

to announce the engagement of their daugh-
ter Ariel Kowalsky to Doug Coursen, son of
Greg and Judi Coursen of Farmington Hills.
Ariel earned a B.A. degree in communica-
tive sciences and disorders from Michigan
State University and an M.A. degree in
speech-language pathology from Western
Michigan University.
Doug graduated from the Broad College of
Business at Michigan State University with a
B.A. degree in finance. He is a manager at Plante Moran Financial Advisors LLC.
Ariel and Doug reside in Royal Oak. A June wedding is planned at the Henry
Hotel in Dearborn.

Zogut 95th

S

ol Zogut of West Bloomfield turned
95 on March 10 and celebrated the
occasion with his devoted daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Diane Zogut and Bob
Shapiro. Born in Detroit as one of seven
siblings, Sol is a retired pharmacist. He and
his late wife, Ruthe, who were married 63
years, enjoyed traveling, playing cards and
spending time with friends. They also had
a beloved daughter, the late Jackie Zogut.
Sol’s family includes many loving nieces and
nephews.
