TOP AND CENTER: Jewish lifestyle
blogger Rita Brownstein created
a Passover tablescape for her
blog, DesignMegillah.com, which
includes slipcovers for your
dog-eared and charoset-stained
Haggadot: Choose colored paper
to match your tablecloth; cut the
paper to cover the Haggadah,
leaving an inch or so to fold
in and tuck into the front and
back; add a coordinating ribbon
down the center spine and a
white round sticker to keep it
closed flat. Print a label with your
family’s name and the date to
adhere to the front.
Visit Brownstein’s Etsy shop,
JewishHolidayShop, to order
Passover Cootie Catchers ($18
for a set of eight) for your seder
table: Each Catcher contains eight
questions to stump your family
and friends — fun, decorative and
educational!
BOTTOM, RIGHT: Brownstein
created an adorable and colorful
DIY seder plate (easy enough to
make one for each guest, if you
choose, so you don’t have to
pass things around the table).
Choose a sturdy and colorful hors
d’oeuvres-size paper plate and
visit her website (DesignMegillah.
com) to print out free tags — cut
them out and glue to toothpicks
to make mini flags.
BOTTOM, LEFT: Spread a
chalkboard table runner (find
a reusable one on Amazon for
$36.99) across your table then
line with each of the items from
the seder plate. To make your
own matzah-lined vase, break off
long pieces of matzah and line
them inside the vase, matching
them to the broken lines. When
the vase is filled with water, it
will help the matzah mold to the
shape of the vase.
