Hanako Rose is named in loving memory of both her great-great-grandmothers Rose Burg and Rose Resnick. Max Evan Adamczyk will be called to the Torah on Saturday, March 12, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield. He is the loving son of Dr. Steven and Michelle Adamczyk and big broth- Adamczyk er to Noah and Arie. Max is the grandchild of Helen and the late Robert Levy, and Joann and the late Robert Adamczyk. Both of his grandfa- thers will be fondly remembered during the service. Max is a student at West Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. For his most meaningful mitzvah project, he held an all-star basketball clinic at his home, rais- ing funds to support CCFA, an organization important to his family. Max Gabriel Bass, son of Linda Bass, and Jeffrey and Julie Bass, will lead the congregation in prayer on the occasion of his bar mitzvah at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield on Saturday, March 12. He Bass will be joined in celebra- tion by his siblings Jack, Danielle, Drew, Dean and Denver. He is the loving grandchild of Elaine Bass, Marlene and Stuart Bass, and great-grandchild of Rena Fishman. He is also the grandchild of the late Ilene and the late Richard Karson, and great-grandchild of the late Edward Fishman, the late Ann and the late Sidney Cohen, and the late Rhea and the late George Bass. Max is a student at Walnut Creek Middle School in Walled Lake. For part of his mitz- vah project, he sold bracelets and orchestrat- ed a save-the-change initiative, from which he donated all proceeds to support research for Lewy Body Dementia in memory of his late grandmother Ilene Karson. SEPT. 10, 2015 Lisa (Biederman) and Michael Josol of Manhattan, N.Y., are overjoyed to announce the birth of their son, David Santy Josol (Dovid Josol Simcha). Sharing in their joy are grand- parents Sheri and Michael Biederman of Farmington Hills, and Carole and Alan Mills of Simi Valley, Calif. David is named in loving memory of his maternal grandfather David Biederman and his paternal grandfather Santy Josol. Sabrina Anne Carson, daughter of Lauren and Stephen Carson, will lead the congregation in prayer on the occasion of her bat mitzvah at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield on Friday, Carson March 11. Joining in her celebration will be her brother Tony and proud grandparents Sheila and Miles Hurwitz, and Maxine and Robert Carson. Sabrina is a student at Detroit Country Day School in Beverly Hills. Sabrina is passionate about animals so, as part of her mitzvah project, she participated in a gourmet lemonade and snack stand to raise money and awareness for the Michigan Humane Society, Michigan Animal Rescue League, Michigan Anti- Cruelty Society and the Cecil the Lion/ Wildlife Conservation Research Unit. Jacob William Dwoskin (Matan) will be called to the Torah as a bar mitz- vah on Saturday, March 12, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield. Joining in his celebration will be his Dwoskin parents, Joanna and Jonathan Dwoskin; his sister, Aria; grandparents, Linda and Jeffrey Serman, and Marc and Chickie Dwoskin; and his great-grandmother, Elaine Serman. He is also the grandson of the late Wendy Dwoskin. Jacob attends Norup International School in Oak Park. He participated in many meaningful mitzvah projects, espe- cially enjoying his time at Farmington Hills-based JARC. Plaut, the late Marlene and the late Hanley Elias. Steven is a student at West Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. For his most meaningful mitzvah experience, he helped families and children suffering from muscular dystrophy celebrate the holiday season by volunteering at the muscular dystrophy bowling fundraiser event. Maxwell Bennett Goldstein will read from the Torah as he becomes a bar mitzvah at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield on Saturday, March 12. He will be joined in celebration by Goldstein his proud parents, Patty and Stephen Goldstein, and sister Alison. Maxwell is the grand- child of Shirley and the late John Purcell, Esther and Harold Skloff, and the late Dr. Irwin Goldstein. Maxwell is a student at Orchard Lake Middle School in West Bloomfield. As part of his mitzvah project, in honor of his cousin Sean Boyd, he raised more than $1,600 for his “Strike Out Thalassemia” strike-outs-for-donations baseball fund- raiser to fund Thalassemia research. Jackson Elliot Harris, son of Paula and John Harris, will read from the Torah on the occa- sion of his bar mitzvah at Temple Beth El in Bloomfield Hills on Saturday, March 12. He Harris will be joined by his proud grandparents Elaine and Douglas Harris. Jackson is also the grandson of the late Rosalind and the late Sherman Becker. Jackson is a student at Berkshire Middle School in Beverly Hills. As a part of his mitzvah projects, he helped raise funds for Team Trevor and volunteered for Friends at Home through the Friendship Circle, which he found to be very meaningful. Jared Jonah Niskar (Avraham Yonah) will celebrate his bar mitzvah on Saturday, March 12, at Adat Shalom Synagogue in Farmington Hills. He is the son of Faye and Joey Niskar Niskar, and Lorie and Ron Lieberman and the brother of Hannah Niskar, Sarah and Ryan Chehab, and Marlie and Evan Lieberman. Proud grandparents are Arlene and Dr. Robert Niskar, Elaine and Gary Rosenblatt, Adele Lieberman, and Kitty and Chuck Lieberman. Great-grandmother is Janet Rosenblatt. Jared is a student at Abbott Middle School in West Bloomfield. For his mitz- vah project, he packed and distributed food at Yad Ezra in Berkley.
