Tiger Time!
Temple Israel welcomes a special guest
to the neighborhood.
I
t was truly a beautiful day in the
neighborhood as the entire com-
munity was invited to help wel-
come special guest, Daniel Tiger, of the
popular PBS TV series, Daniel Tiger’s
Neighborhood, to Temple Israel on
Sunday, Feb. 28.
Hundreds of families with young
children had an exciting afternoon meet-
ing their favorite animated character in
person.
“We had a fantastic time,” said one par-
ent. “Not only did my son love meeting
one of his favorite characters, but he also
enjoyed all of the other activities as well.”
Thanks to PBS and Detroit Public
Television, families had the opportu-
nity to mingle with Daniel and snap a
photo together. The fun continued with
a story time and sing-along featuring
favorite Temple tunes. Between snacking
on “Tiger Tails” and crafting Tzedakah
Trolleys, children enjoyed face painting, a
bounce house and so much more!
“Daniel is my best favorite friend, and
I even got to give him a hug,” said Maddy,
5.
Special credit goes to PJ Library for
joining in the collaborative effort of pro-
moting literacy and Jewish values, even
for the tiniest of tigers.
