RUSSELL MEDALIE, 61, of West
Bloomfield, died Feb.18, 2016.
Mr. Medalie is survived by his mother,
Dorothy L. Medalie; sister, Sally Shapiro;
brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Lynn
Medalie; nieces and nephews, Allison
Shapiro, Brent Shapiro, Philip Medalie
and Susan Medalie.
He was the devoted son of the late Dr.
Morris Medalie.
Interment was at Beth El Memorial
Park. Contributions may be made to a
charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by
Ira Kaufman Chapel.

MARCIA MEYERS,
88, of Farmington
Hills, died Feb. 16,
2016.
She was a member
of Congregation Beth
Shalom, including the
sisterhood and the Mr.
Meyers
and Mrs. Group, and
loved playing maj jong,
canasta and bridge.
She was active in a Yiddish group and
book club.
Mrs. Meyers is survived by her hus-
band of 64 years, Steven Meyers; daugh-
ters and sons-in-law, Karen and Morris
Rottman of West Bloomfield, Francine
and Aaron Martin; sisters and brothers-
in-law, Rose Matz of Los Angeles, Calif.,
Trudy Berlin of West Bloomfield, Raechel
and Lenny Nagel of West Bloomfield,
Jerry and Ella Modell of Southfield;
grandchildren, Emilie Rottman, Andrea
Rottman, Jacob Martin, Adam Martin;
also survived by her treasured caregiver,
Eva Haase; and many loving nieces, neph-
ews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Meyers was the loving daugh-
ter of the late Mary and the late Sol
Modell; dear sister and sister-in-law
of the late Ben Matz, the late Stanley
Berlin, the late Florence and the late Sol
Leider, and the late Lily Goldstein.
Interment was held at Beth
Yehudah section of Workmen’s
Circle. Contributions may be made to
Congregation Beth Shalom, 14601 W.
Lincoln, Oak Park, MI 48237 or to a

Ron Fink. He is also survived by many
loving nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
Mr. Pianko was the beloved husband
of the late Florence Jane Pianko, devoted
son of the late Harry and the late Molly
Pianko, and the dear brother-in-law of the
late Jerry Tralins.
Interment was at Hebrew Memorial

law, Denah Bookstein and Ethel Brown.
She is also survived by many loving
nieces, nephews, cousins and a world of
friends.
Mrs. Schuman was the beloved wife for
58 years of the late Michael I. Schuman,
devoted daughter of the late Morris and
the late Hattie Brown, loving sister of
the late Albert Brown, the late Sidney
Brown, and the late Manuel Brown, and
dear sister-in-law of the late Harold Klau,
the late Adeline Brown, the late Marvin
Bookstein, the late Rosabel and the
late Harold Bernstein, the late Herman
Schuman, the late Loreli and the late
Norton Cohen.
Interment was at Machpelah Cemetery.
