BRIAN DRILICH, 65, of Naples, Fla., died
Feb. 8, 2016.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy
Drilich of Newbury Park, Calif.; daughters
and son-in-law, Leia and Gavin Flure of
Champaign, Ill.; Ariel Weston of Hoffman
Estates, Ill.; Shira Weston of Chicago,
Ill.; grandchildren, Emerson and Eden;
brother and sister-in-law, Neal and Karen
Drilich of Royal Oak; niece and nephew,
Emily and Aaron Drilich; other loving
family members and friends.
Contributions may be made to a charity
of one’s choice.

DOUGLAS GREKIN, 62, of Washington,
D.C., died Feb. 16, 2016.
He is survived by his lifelong partner,
Kathleen Mazure; and sister and brother-
in-law, Kelly and Michael Vaughan. Also
remembered by many loving nieces, neph-
ews, other family members and friends.
Douglas was the son of the late Thomas
and the late Molly Grekin, and brother of
the late Lee Grekin.
Interment was held at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery in Birmingham. Contributions

SUZANNE BETH
KAPLAN, 78, died Feb.
13, 2016, at her home in
West Bloomfield.
Sue was a lifelong
learner and teacher who
inspired countless stu-
dents in her long career
Kaplan
that began in Detroit
c. 2005
and continued on to
Schoolcraft College. She
also served as the chair of the Michigan
Council for the Humanities. After she
retired, Sue continued to share her gift
of teaching through film and book clubs,
lectures for various organizations, pub-
lishing articles for Discover magazine and
providing insights through book and film
reviews.
She was the loving mother of Jody
Kaplan and Wendy Kaplan; cherished
grandmother of David Leve; daughter of
the late Florence and late Jack Cooper; and
sister of the late Michael Cooper. She also
leaves behind many loving friends and
relatives.
A memorial service will be held at noon
Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016, at Dorfman Chapel
in Farmington Hills. Contributions can be
made to Yad Ezra, Angela Hospice or to a
charity of one’s choice. Arrangements by
