endy and Richard Flusty of
Farmington Hills are excited
to announce the engagement
of their daughter Laura Flusty to Jacob
“Jake” Smilovitz, son of Donna and Bernie
Smilovitz of Franklin.
Laura works in marketing at American
Express in New York City. She earned a
bachelor of arts degree at the University of
Michigan, dual majoring in organizational
studies and communication studies.
Jake works in corporate development
and strategy at the New York Times, where
he oversees the company’s venture invest-
ing and acquisitions strategy. He earned a bachelor of business administration
degree at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and a bachelor of
arts degree in political science at the University of Michigan.
A May wedding is planned in West Bloomfield.

includes their two married child ren and five

lise and David Schostak of
Birmingham are very excited for
the upcoming wedding of their
daughter Dana Schostak to Alexander
Bonda, son of Jodi and Tom Bonda of
Pepper Pike, Ohio.
Dana is the granddaughter of Evelyn
and Harvey Goldsmith of West Bloomfield,
Arlene and Asher Tilchin of Farmington
Hills, Elyse Schostak of Franklin and the late
Jerry Schostak. Alex is the grandson of Judy
and Lloyd Hamburger of Manhasset, N.Y.,
and the late Ted and Marie Bonda.
Dana and Alex both earned bachelor of
arts degrees at the University of Michigan. They reside in New York City, where
he works as a senior vice president at WellNet Healthcare and she works as a
digital marketing coordinator at Success Academy.
Dana and Alex will celebrate their marriage on March 5 in Detroit.
