The plumber also said that having done
this once, he ended up having to cut off
the screwhead, drilling out the casing, etc.
So in addition to the kit, I would have the
cost of a visit from the plumber and the

With all the costs involved, I am bet-

for want of a screw the seat was lost and,

Thanks To My Family
Cartoon Depicted
And Hebrew Free Loan Suicide Bomber

Sometimes we have to exert our inde-
pendence. Hebrew Free Loan allowed me
to take out a loan on my own.
The loan (the subject of the Hebrew
Free Loan column on Jan. 28, page 3)
allowed me to repair my teeth and hold
on to my dignity. My dear brother co-
signed the loan for me.
My father, Mitch Newman, and my
brother Harry Newman and his wife,
Audrey Newman, have been so wonder-
ful to me, helping me throughout the
years.
God bless my wonderful family and
Hebrew Free Loan!

I am responding to the letter “Cartoon Did
Not Promote Peace” (Jan. 28, page 10) that
criticized the cartoon titled “The Problem,”
depicting two men toasting a drink (Jan.
14, page 5). As co-creator of the cartoon, I’d
like to make the following points.
It is obvious the man on the left is
Jewish, since he is wearing a Star of David.
The Jewish position on life has always been
to live life. It is also obvious that the man
on the right is a suicide bomber. These ter-
rorists are not limited by national origin or
religion.
The purpose of any political cartoon is to
state a point of view that can be accurate,
whimsical or total fantasy. The purpose of
this one was to show what, unfortunately, is
accurate. Suicide bombers indeed look for-
ward to death. Many are taught as children
to become one for “the cause.” They will

receive their reward in the afterlife and the
status of martyr in their homeland.
A cartoon need not be a vehicle promot-
ing “good relationships.” It need only tell
the truth. This one does. Until attitudes
by parents, clerics and others who influ-
ence children to become suicide bombers
change, “the problem” will continue.

Yes, I can. Tax problems are
stressful – they cause loss of
sleep and enormous pressure.
The biggest mistake people
make is ignoring them. There
are good solutions available, at reasonable
cost, to release levies and often settle the
debt. Unlike may fi rms recently claiming
to handle tax problems, THAV GROSS has
been solving tax problems for individuals
and businesses in the area for 33 years.
If your bank account has been levied or
wages garnished, the fi rst step we do is
contact the IRS or the State and work
to get your money released. If you have
unfi led tax returns, we will help you get
the returns fi led. If unpaid taxes are the
issue, we will analyze the years and dates
to determine if the statute of limitation has
or is about to run. Income taxes are also
sometimes dischargeable in bankruptcy –
so we also examine that option to eliminate
the tax. For both income and payroll
tax liabilities – an Offer in Compromise
with IRS and and now with the State is a
possible way to settle the tax for pennies
on the dollar. The important point here – is
that there are options and avenues to solve
the problem. You should call us today – for
a FREE CONSULTATION. Happy Pesach!

THAV GROSS has been solving
its clients’ business, tax and fi nancial
problems since 1982. Be sure to tune
in to the new Law and Reality –
Saturday mornings to 10 AM on
WDFN 1130 AM Radio and Sunday’s
at 11 AM on TV20.
