brother-in-law, Mel Markowitz.
Mrs. Snyder was the beloved wife of
the late Joseph Snyder; the cherished
mother of the late Dr. Michael Snyder and
the late Bryan Snyder; the loving sister
of the late Sybil Markowitz; the devoted
daughter of the late Norman and the late
Rubye Schreiber.
Interment was at Beth Ahm Cemetery.

Mrs. Steinberger was the beloved wife
of the late Dr. Eugene Steinberger; the
loving sister of the late Eileen Geltman;
the dear mother-in-law of the late
Michael I. Zaks and the late Dr. Saul
Silverstein.

ROSLYN H. “ROZ”
VINNIK, died Feb. 8,
2016.
She was one of the
first female assis-
tant probability and
statistics professors
at Michigan State
Vinnik
University. She was also
a founding member
of the National Council of Teachers of
Mathematics, which is today one of the
driving forces in teaching mathematics.
Mrs. Vinnik was an active member
of Congregation Or Tzion, the Jewish
Community Foundation, the Jewish
Federation and a lifetime supporter of
Hadassah. She was recently voted Valley
of the Sun Volunteer of the Year. More
importantly to her, she was a loving
wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand-
mother, sister, aunt and cousin to loving
family located all over the world.
She is survived by daughter, Andrea
B. Kutinsky, Ph.D.; son, Lloyd Vinnik;
grandsons, Dr. Joshua Kutinsky,
Jonathon Kutinsky, Ethan Kutinsky;
daughter-in-law, Leah Wiseman
Fink; great-grandson, Samuel Murray
Kutinsky.
Mrs. Vinnik was preceded in death by
her husband, Dr. Murray Vinnik; son-in-
law, S. David Kutinsky; and her parents
and two sisters.
A graveside service was held at Green
Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale, Ariz., on
Feb. 10, 2016. Contributions may be
