Jacob Moses Kaufman (Jacinto Mamadou) of Ann Arbor
will celebrate his bar mitzvah at Isaac Agree Downtown
Synagogue in Detroit on Saturday, Feb. 13. He is the son of
David Benjamin Kaufman and Ruth Rose Kaufman. He is the
brother of Samuel Isaac Kaufman and Leah Sarah Kaufman.
Jacob is a student at Notre Dame Prep in Pontiac. For his
mitzvah project, he worked at Macomb County Community
Services Agency, helping to deliver meals to senior citizens.

aurie and Michael Banks of
Farmington Hills are thrilled
to announce the engagement
of their daughter Lindsey Banks to
Brandon Ellefson, son of Deb and Dan
Ellefson of Pinckney.
Lindsey graduated with a degree
in microbiology and genomics from
Michigan State University and a master’s
degree in microbiology and immunology
from the University of Michigan. She is
employed by Molecular Imaging Inc. as a
research scientist in Ann Arbor.
Brandon graduated from Michigan
Technological University with a bach-
elor’s and master’s in environmental
engineering and is employed as an envi-
ronmental engineer at LimnoTech in
Ann Arbor.
A June wedding is planned in West Bloomfield.
