ABOVE: The contemporary white and glass of the
kitchen are warmed up with a walnut island, built
by Perspectives, and walnut interior frames lining
the white-painted maple cabinets. Quartz tops the
countertops and the mitered island; Long chose
accent lights over the windows rather than pendants
to enhance the light flow.

FAR LEFT: Ship lap planks wrap around the powder
room for a minimalist take on paneling. A Jerusalem
limestone vanity floats across the wall; a wall-mount
faucet and hammered-copper sink make the most of
limited space.

LEFT: The French farmhouse-style dining table by
Grange is lined with circa-1920s hand-carved chairs
that Long had repainted and recovered with indoor-
outdoor fabric. The painting, by Aimee Cameron,
seems an abstraction of the delineating lines of the
black-painted frames of the window sashes.
