ESTHER JACOBS, 94, of West
Bloomfield, died Jan. 20, 2016.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Ellen
Jacobs; daughters and son-in-
law, Phylis Wiener, Marjorie and
Dale Matney; grandchildren; Lisa
(Bradley) McDougall, Steven (Holly)
Zager, Jodi Jacobs, Joshua (Jodie)
Jacobs, Laura (Brian) Barch, Jason
Matney; great-grandchildren, Marnie,
Allie, Hannah, Linsie, Sari, Hillary;
many other loving family members
and friends.
Mrs. Jacobs was the beloved wife of
the late Harry Jacobs; the mother-in-
law of the late Irving Wiener.
Interment was held at the Beth
El Memorial Park in Livonia.

SHIRLEY (PERLISS) LEDERER, 92,
died Jan. 22, 2016, in Palm Beach,
Fla.
Mrs. Lederer was a fierce protector
of her family and a loyal and trusted
friend. Several friendships began in
Detroit and were maintained through
seven decades. She was an expert
bridge player, a world traveler, avid
reader, movie lover and superb deco-
rator. She will be truly missed.
She is survived and mourned by
her cherished and devoted husband
of more than 72 years, Saul; her
loving daughters, Marilyn Lederer
and Marlene (Alex) Miller; adoring
grandchildren, David Siegel, Jill (Rob)
Soltan, William (Claire Stewart)
Siegel, Jeffery (Emilia) Miller; three
beloved great-grandchildren, Felix
Siegel, Arin and Jaymie Miller.
She was the adored grandmother
of the late Adam S. Miller.
