She is Cohen the loving daughter of Nancy and Dr. Daniel Cohen, sister of Matthew, and the grand- child of Elaine and Robert Cohen, Rebecca and the late Bernard Toby. Allison is a student at O. E. Dunckel Middle School in Farmington Hills. As part of her many mitzvah projects, she organized a book drive; the new and gen- tly used books were donated to the Dixon Educational Learning Academy in Detroit. She felt it was very meaningful to give other children the opportunity to have books to read. Maya Bryn Contorer will be called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Friday, Jan. 29, at Temple Shir Shalom in West Bloomfield. Celebrating with her will be her parents, Contorer Beth and David Contorer, sister Danielle, and proud grandparents Harry and Susie Katkowsky of Huntington Woods, and Dr. Paul and Beverly Contorer of Portland, Ore. Maya is a seventh-grade student at Norup International Middle School in Oak Park. As her mitzvah project, she volun- teered at Yad Ezra in Berkley. Josh and Jodi Isser of Commerce Township are proud to announce that their son, Daniel Isser, will be called to the Torah as a bar mitz- vah on Saturday, Jan. 30, at Congregation Isser B’nai Moshe in West Bloomfield. His proud sister is Hannah. He is the grandson of Sandra (the late Leonard) Isser of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Laura and Burton Roth of West Bloomfield. Daniel, a student at Oak Valley Middle School in Commerce Township, volun- teers at the Friendship Circle in West Bloomfield. Kroll Marlee Summer Kroll, daughter of Todd and Jennifer Kroll, will become a bat mitzvah at Temple Shir Shalom in West Bloomfield on Saturday, Jan. 30. She is the sister of Lilley Kroll. Corey Justin Mann, son of Sara and Brad Mann, will be called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday, Jan. 30, at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield. He will be Mann joined in celebration by his brother Darren, and proud grandparents Susan and Howard Levin, and Sharyn and Harvey Mann. Corey is a seventh-grader at Orchard Lake Middle School in West Bloomfield. As part of his mitzvah experience, he has volunteered every week at Fleischman Residence in West Bloomfield, playing cards and other games as well as playing the piano for the residents. He has found sharing his time with older adults to be very meaningful. Ari Burke Partrich (Ari Binyamin) will celebrate his bar mitz- vah at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield on Friday, Jan. 29. He is the son of Samantha and Ross Partrich Partrich and the broth- er of Tatum and Jackson. Sharing in the simchah will be proud grandparents Sheila and Miles Hurwitz, and Myrna and Spencer Partrich. Ari is in seventh grade at Detroit Country Day School in Beverly Hills. As part of his mitzvah project, he visited with seniors at Fleischman Residence in West Bloomfield and patients at Henry Ford Hospital, also in West Bloomfield, with his Nanna and her therapy dog, Jimme. David Safta of West Bloomfield became a bar mitzvah at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield on Saturday, Jan. 23. He is the son of Lili and Eugen Safta, brother of Safta Loren Safta and grand- son of Dr. Joseph and Mrs. Hana Levy, and Ion and Mariana Safta. David is a student at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington Hills. In addition to routine brushing at least three times per day, all orthodontic patients should also practice daily flossing. Since brushing and flossing with braces can be challenging for many patients, there are many tools and techniques that we can offer to make these challenges simple to overcome. We recommend that all our patients also use a fluoride rinse at bedtime to preserve the health and integrity of their teeth.
