Solomon. “Anything personalized is a
great bridal party gift.”
A gift from the bride and groom is a
memorable and traditional way to say
thank you to friends and family mem-
bers who are a part of the wedding.
Bridesmaids often play a key role
by helping at a shower and planning a
bachelorette party. Plus, she most likely
will have spent a small fortune on a
bridesmaid dress as well as bearing the
expense of having her hair and makeup
done before the wedding.
Groomsmen, while bearing less of a
financial burden, also take a role in the
wedding and pre-wedding nuptials by
planning a bachelor party and incurring
the expense of a suit or tuxedo for the
wedding.
Beyond monograming, local Jewish
wedding planners say they have seen
a number of creative and thoughtful
gifts, such as a spa day with the wedding
party.
“I love the idea of taking the bridal

party out for a manicure or pedicure
together,” says party planner Janice
Cherkasky. “One groom gave out bags
filled with brands of things he liked, such
as socks and cologne. It’s fun to try other
things to see if you like them, too.”
Coordinating colorful socks or match-
ing ties can be a unique gift and makes
for a fun photo opportunity for the
groomsmen. Customized yarmulkes,
such as those with a logo of a favorite
sports team or college, are also popular.
Shaving kits continue to be a good choice
as well.
