MARILYN
AMSTER
KLUGMAN, 87,
of Rockville
Centre, N.Y., died
Jan. 13, 2016.
Marilyn was
a first-grade
Klugman
teacher in the
Rockville Centre
schools for more
than 30 years. She had a profound
and positive influence on genera-
tions of young children.
Mrs. Klugman was the beloved
mother of Kate (Rick) Smith and
Ilene (Ken) Ampel; loving grand-
mother of Max and Joshua Smith,
and Ethan Ampel.
Graveside services were held at
New Montefiore Cemetery, West
Babylon, N.Y. Contributions may be

KRASNICK, 79, of
Huntington Woods,
died Jan. 15, 2016.
He graduated
from the University
of Michigan School
of Pharmacy and
Krasnick
joined his father at
Birmingham Drugs,
where he was
beloved by his many customers for
more than 50 years.
Mr. Krasnick is survived by his
wife, Marjorie Krasnick; sons and
daughters-in-law, Dr. Neal and
Sarah Krasnick of Franklin, Steven
and Jodie Krasnick of Huntington
Woods, Dr. Robert and Dr. Jane
Krasnick, also of Huntington Woods;
grandchildren, Bradley and Megan
Krasnick, Brian Krasnick, Nathan
Krasnick, Ellie Krasnick, Marla
Krasnick, Evan Krasnick, Rachel
Krasnick, Leah Krasnick and Julie
Krasnick; sister, Dulcie Rosenfeld;
sister-in-law, Joan Roth; nieces and
nephews, Jill and Evan Stone, Nancy
Rosenfield, Henry “Hank” Rosenfeld,
James and Peggy Rosenfeld, Melanie
Gorelick, Alison and Mark Zingale;
many customers who adored him.
He was the devoted son of the late
John and the late Adeline Krasnick;
the loving brother-in-law of the late
Norman Rosenfeld, the late Leonard
Sanders and the late Burton Lee
Altman.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park

MARION LEVINE-
GALLANT, 90, of
Huntington Woods,
died Jan. 14, 2016.
She passed
away peacefully
in her sleep at the
residence of her
Levine-Gallant
son Marshall and
daughter-in-law
Joanie, where she
resided for the last four years.
During her career as the owner
and CEO of the State College of
Beauty, she provided opportunities
for many hundreds of students to
become career-oriented beauty pro-
fessionals. She was known for her
sense of fairness, her belief in doing
the right thing for the right reason
and that kindness to others was of
paramount importance. She had
a wonderful smile and welcoming
manner, which were well recognized.
Marion was a lover of the per-
forming arts and took great pleasure
in the appreciation of fine art pieces.
Her warm heart and bright smile will
be greatly missed by all who were
lucky enough to have known her.
Mrs. Levine-Gallant was the
wife of the late Norman Gallant;
mother of Dr. Michael Levine of
Melbourne, Fla., Mark Levine of
Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Marshall
Levine of Huntington Woods (their
father was Morris N. Levine); four
grandchildren. She was the sister of
Dorothy Mahlin, the late William
“Bill” Komorn and Margaret Radin.
She is also survived by numerous
nieces and nephews.
Interment was at Machpelah
Cemetery. Contributions may be
