Barb,
PART 1
Can you
explain to
me what are
Oxalates,
when you have
Kidney stones, and how to monitor
my diet?
Gratefully Sara.
Most oxalates are waste products
made by the body and have no
function in humans. The most
common type of kidney stone
is made of calcium and oxalate
(80%). Other sources that
contain/or bring forth oxalates

BE PATIENT
JN Contributing Writer Esther Allweiss Ingber checked in
with Jerry Denha, owner of the former kosher-friendly Farm
Fresh store in Oak Park, to see if his new supermarket at
11 Mile and Lahser in Southfield would open in January as
anticipated. Regretfully, he told Ingber the store now should
open at the end of February. “Things don’t always go the way
you want them to,” Denha told her.
