Southfield, died
Jan. 2, 2016.
Mrs. Schwartz
ran the Golden
Age Chorale Group
Schwartz
at Adat Shalom
Synagogue for many
years. She was a
member of Adat Shalom Synagogue,
Hadassah and National Council of
Jewish Women. She worked in retail
for many years.
Mrs. Schwartz is survived by her
children, Fran and David Grossman
of Franklin, Dennis and Olivia
Ross of West Bloomfield, Rena and
Gerald Chernow of Birmingham,
Dr. Richard and Jane Schwartz of
Bloomfield Hills; grandchildren,
Jeremy Ross, Matthew Ross, David
and Julie Chernow, Aaron and Molly
Chernow, Brian and Jennie Schwartz,
and Jessica Schwartz; five great-
grandchildren; sister-in-law, Franny
Keeps of Southfield.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Max Schwartz and the late
Norman Ross; the cherished sister of
the late Leo Keeps.
Interment was at Adat
Shalom Memorial Park
Cemetery. Contributions may
be made to a charity of one’s
choice. Arrangements by Hebrew
Memorial Chapel.

HARRY SHAPIRO,
91, of West
Bloomfield and
Longboat Key, Fla.,
died Dec. 28, 2015.
He is survived by
his wife of 65 years,
Esther Landau

Shapiro; daughters,
Barbara Shapiro,
Audrey Shapiro and
Carol Shapiro-Havis; son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Gary and Dobi Shapiro;
grandchildren, Aaron and Amanda
Wilkin, Jacob and Rebekah Shapiro,
Victoria and Steven Hakim, Ilana
Shapiro, Lilly Havis and Izzy Havis;
great-grandson, Ari Morris Shapiro;
brother-in-law and sister-in-law,
Joseph and Resa Landau; other lov-
ing relatives and friends.
Mr. Shapiro was the loving brother
of the late Sarah and the late Phil
Cherrin, and the late Dr. Usher
Shapiro; the devoted son of the late
Jacob and the late Ida Shapiro.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be

CONNIE LOU SIDDER, former
Detroiter of Fort Collins, Colo.,
passed away Dec. 23, 2015.
She was a dental hygienist who
worked in the Fort Collins and
Denver area. Connie was a skilled
tennis player and a lover of the
outdoors. She was a talented art-
ist/photographer/sculptor, and an
accomplished home cook. Connie
had energy and passion for every-
thing she did, especially in raising
her son, Jon.
Mrs. Sidder is survived by her
husband, Bob Mohr; son, Jonathan
Mohr (fiancee, Amanda Friese);
brother, Glenn (Sharon) Sidder of
Farmington Hills; sister, Laurie
Sidder (Bruce VonHeine) of
Colorado Springs, Colo.; brother,
Gary Sidder (Francie Steinzeig) of
Littleton, Colo. She was the loving
aunt of David (Julie) Sidder, and Jodi
(Brett) Panter of West Bloomfield,
Aaron Sidder (fiancee, Rachel
Eisenstat) of Denver and Daniel
Sidder of Lebanon, N.H.; great-aunt
of Ella and Ava Sidder, Zoey and
Justin Panter.
She was the daughter of the late
Richard and the late Edith Sidder
and Faye Sidder.
Contributions may be made to the
Alzheimer’s Association or a charity
of one’s choice.

SOLOMON, of
Raleigh, N.C., for-
merly of
Farmington Hills,
died Jan. 2, 2016.
He is survived by
his wife of 60 years,

Phyllis Solomon;

Wendy Solomon Smith; grandchil-
dren, Jared and Andrew Smith;
brother-in-law, Dr. Earl Rudner.
Mr. Solomon was the devoted son

Abraham Solomon; loving brother of
the late Sam Solomon; dear brother-
in-law of the late Gloria Rudner.
