N ili Couzens, founding director of Jewish Life Seminars (JLS), came in for two educational programs sponsored by AISH Detroit. JLS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising the bar of Jewish education and Jewish identity in the Philadelphia area. Couzens, a popu- lar lecturer, is living with her family in Israel for a year. The first program was a women’s lunch and learn at the home of Mary Aaron on Nov. 19. The topic was “Raising a Mentsh.” The second program that evening was for men and women, with Couzens’ address titled “I am a Total Stress Case” Both programs were well attended and offered participants realistic tools for parenting.
