On Friday, Dec. 11, Netflix premieres
The Ridiculous 6, a comedy that sort-
of marries The Magnificent Seven (and
uses its great score by the late Elmer
Bernstein) to Mel Brooks' Blazing
Saddles. Sandler plays an outlaw ("White
Knife") raised by Native Americans who
goes on a mission to rescue his father.
He's assisted by his five half-brothers,
all of whom have the same father, but
are ethnically different (black, Hispanic
and others). Co-stars include Rob
Schneider, 52, and Harvey Keitel, 76.

In memory of Susanne Feld Hilberry,
the pioneering art dealer who died
in August, her Ferndale gallery, the
Susanne Hilberry Gallery, will open
an anniversary exhibition, Thirty
Nine Years — the number of years
she ran her gallery. Hilberry was an
early champion of many internation-
ally known artists, including Richard
Artschwager, Elizabeth Murray, Judy
Pfaff, Joel Shapiro and Alex Katz —
all of whom will have work shown in
the exhibit. Also included: Carrie Mae
Weems, Mike Kelley, Manny Farber,
Judy Linn (who took the photo
shown), Nancy Mitchnick and more.
