FOREST NOW OPENED
Birmingham's Forest, formerly the Forest
Grill, opened last month at 735 Forest
Ave. The restaurant, headed by Chef Nick
Janutol and owned by Phoenicia's Samy
Eid, features a Mediterranean-influenced
menu that features small plates such as
octopus and risotto, pasta dishes, such
as boar Bolognese and duck tortellini.
In addition to a revamped menu, Forest
features a new look with a wine cellar and
glassed-in kitchen. Forest is accepting res-
ervations at (248) 258-9400. Forest's hours
are Monday through Thursday 5-10 p.m.
and Friday and Saturday 5-11 p.m.
