We mourn the loss of Mr. Jack

Shenkman.

Jack has been at the forefront

of Chabad-Lubavitch of

Michigan activities for more

than forty years as a leader and

true friend. Passionately

committed to Jewish education

and continuity, Jack was a

pioneer and activist, who gave

generously of his talent and

time to support Jewish

educational causes.

The Shul-Chabad Lubavitch is

named, "The Jack and Miriam

Shenkman Building,"

in honor of their caring and

loving commitment to Torah

and Jewish education.

It stands as an enduring legacy

and tribute. The Shul has

become known as a warm,

friendly, homely center of

Judaism. Large yet inviting, it

stands to serve every Jew,

regardless of affiliation. The

Shul's continued educational
programming will be a merit to

his soul and a comfort to his
family.
