IRVING BERENBON, 91, of West
Bloomfield, died Nov. 5, 2015.
He is survived by his son and
daughter-in-law, Howard Berenbon
and Leah Klein; sister, Tillie Tratner;
loving companion, Thelma Willis;
grandchildren, Sarah Berenbon and
Rebecca Berenbon; many other lov-
ing family members and friends.
Mr. Berenbon was the beloved
husband of the late Fay Berenbon;
brother-in-law of the late Hy Tratner.

took place at Adat Shalom Memorial
Park Cemetery in Livonia.

Bar-Ilan University (BIU) in Ramat Gan, Israel and the

American Friends of Bar-Ilan University (AFBIU) note

with profound sadness the passing of Joseph Fetter,

whose visionary philanthropy greatly strengthened the

University.

A recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from BIU in 2006,

he personified the Jewish and Zionist values that are

at the core of Bar-Ilan's mission. Always focused on

advancing science and high-technology in Israel, Joseph

and his wife, Frances, generously dedicated the Fetter

Floor at the Leslie and Susan Gonda (Goldschmied)

Multidisciplinary Brain Center, and the Fetter Research

Wing at the Gonda Nanotechnology Triplex — providing

a state-of-the-art research facility for the Bar-Ilan

Institute of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials.

The Fetters have been long-time, major supporters of

AFBIU's annual campaigns.

The entire University community extends its sincerest

condolences to his wife Frances, sons Gary and Neil,

and the entire family.
