DR. GEORGE J. MILLER, 99, of West
Bloomfield, died Oct. 29, 2015.
He worked at Ford Motor Co. to pay
his way through school and received his
undergraduate degree from Wayne State
University and his dental degree from
University of Michigan.
An Army veteran of World War II, he
was first stationed in Alaska and then
England and then followed Patton through
Europe.
Dr. Miller was an alumnus of Alpha
Omega Dental Fraternity, a member of
the Michigan Dental Association, the
American Dental Association and the
Detroit District Dental Association. He
was a life member of Berkley Lodge of
Masons.
He loved to square dance with his wife
and walked every day. He also started
playing contract bridge at the age of 80.
Dr. Miller is survived by his wife of 62
years, Charlotte Miller; daughters and
son-in-law, Dianne and Robert Alpiner
of West Bloomfield, Nancy Miller of
Southfield; son and daughter-in-law,
Michael and Pam Miller of Deerfield, Ill.;
brother and sisters-in-law, Dr. Robert and
Janet Miller of California, Annetta Miller,
Reva Barahal; grandchildren, Mitchell
Alpiner, Joseph Miller, Monica Miller,
Elliana Miller.
He was the dear brother and brother-in-
law of the late Dr. Sidney Miller, the late
Allen and the late Ethel Bobroff, the late
Max Barahal.
