DR. MAXWELL
BARDENSTEIN, 87,
of West Bloomfield,
died Oct. 31, 2015.
He was a medical
doctor specializing
in orthopedic sur-
gery.
He graduated
Bardenstein
from the University
of Toronto School of
Medicine and did his orthopedic resi-
dency at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Bardenstein was the chief of
orthopedics at Grace Northwest
Hospital, the head of orthopedic sur-
gery at Sinai-Grace Hospital and Mt.
Carmel Hospital. He was on staff at
Children's Hospital and specialized in
assistance with children with club feet.
He was also on the National Board of
Orthopedic Examiners.
Dr. Bardenstein is survived by his
children, David and Karen Bardenstein,
Ruth Bardenstein and James Roll, Carol
Bardenstein, and Richard and Michal
Bardenstein; grandchildren, Ian and
Daniel Bardenstein, Emily Roll and
Fred Thomas, Natalie Roll, Nadim
Azzam, Maya and Roi Bardenstein;
brother-in-law, Bernard Rubin; sister-
in-law, Barbara Rosin.
He was the beloved husband for 59
years of the late Renah Bardenstein, and
the loving brother of the late Norma
Rubin.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be made

NEWTON BERLIN, 93, of Farmington
Hills, died Oct. 29, 2015.
He is survived by his sons and
daughters-in-law, Ronald and Terry
Berlin, Steven and Yaffa Berlin;
grandchildren, Tara (Josh) Joseph,
Amy (Mark) Neustadt, Dana (Wendi)
Rosenthal; great-grandchildren, Chase
Rosenthal, Sydni Joseph, Sophie Joseph,
Samantha Neustadt, Jordan Neustadt;
many loving nieces, nephews, other
family members and friends.
Mr. Berlin was the brother of the late
Morton (the late Alice) Berlin, the late
Herman (the late Grace) Berlin, the late
Leo (the late Estelle) Berlin, the late
Albert (Barbara) Berlin, the late Evelyn
(late Edward) Pevos, the late Sylvia (the
late Lester) Syner, the late Janet Gillman
and the late Doris Berlin.
Contributions may be made to
a charity of one's choice. Interment
took place at Machpelah Cemetery in
Ferndale. Arrangements by Dorfman
Chapel.
