DR. MAXWELL BARDENSTEIN, 87, of West Bloomfield, died Oct. 31, 2015. He was a medical doctor specializing in orthopedic sur- gery. He graduated Bardenstein from the University of Toronto School of Medicine and did his orthopedic resi- dency at the University of Iowa. Dr. Bardenstein was the chief of orthopedics at Grace Northwest Hospital, the head of orthopedic sur- gery at Sinai-Grace Hospital and Mt. Carmel Hospital. He was on staff at Children's Hospital and specialized in assistance with children with club feet. He was also on the National Board of Orthopedic Examiners. Dr. Bardenstein is survived by his children, David and Karen Bardenstein, Ruth Bardenstein and James Roll, Carol Bardenstein, and Richard and Michal Bardenstein; grandchildren, Ian and Daniel Bardenstein, Emily Roll and Fred Thomas, Natalie Roll, Nadim Azzam, Maya and Roi Bardenstein; brother-in-law, Bernard Rubin; sister- in-law, Barbara Rosin. He was the beloved husband for 59 years of the late Renah Bardenstein, and the loving brother of the late Norma Rubin. Interment was at Clover Hill Park Cemetery.
