They will be joined in cele- bration by their proud parents, Nadine and Brian Jennings, and older brothers Jacob and Zachary. Marki and Madison are the grandchildren of Ronald and the late Delores Jennings, and the late Dr. Seymour and Dorothy Rapp. Marki and Madison are seventh- graders at Derby Middle School in Birmingham. As part of their mitzvah projects, they volunteered at Yad Ezra in Berkley and found this experience to be very meaningful. Elise is the great-granddaughter of Margaret Winkelman of West Bloomfield. He is the loving son of David Rubin, and Rubin Lindsay and Brian Hords and brother to Talia, Natalie and Nathan. Isaiah was joined in celebration by his grandparents Judith and Dr. Irving Blau, Lois and Alvin Rubin, and Sandra and Oscar Tuttleman. He is also the great-grand- child of Lee Blau and the late Harry Blau. Isaiah attends Derby Middle School in Birmingham. His most meaningful mitzvah project involved participating in the Exhale Fall Team 02 charity ride for juvenile diabetes. Griffin Charles Schoener will read from the Torah as he becomes a bar mitz- vah on Friday, Nov. 6, at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield. He is the loving son of Schoener Jennifer and Adam Schoener and brother of Justin and Aidan. He will be joined in celebration by his proud grandparents Lena and Frank Niggeman, and Lucy and Eugene Schoener. Griffin attends Derby Middle School in Birmingham. As part of his mitzvah project, he participated in the LINKS program at his middle school, volunteer- ing to assist and mentor students with disabilities.
