He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Rissa Feldman and Sheldon Winkelman, Ilene and Marc Steglitz, Cindy and Fred Weiser, Nancy and Larry Fitzgerald, Tiann and Michael Shuman, Marcy and Stuart Feldman; many loving great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews and a world of friends. Dr. Feldman was the devoted son of the late Alice and the late Henry Feldman; cherished brother of the late Irving and the late Opal Feldman, the late Blanche and the late Joseph Haas, the late Rhoda and the late Mel Shuman; the loving uncle of the late Donna Zack and the late Carol Golden. Mr. Sommers enjoyed reading as well as traveling throughout the U.S.A. and abroad with Judy, his loving and devoted wife of 69 years. Together they attended lectures on politics and current events, theater; and they main- tained an active social life with dear friends. Norman was an avid golfer (he had three holes in one) and was a member of Tam-O-Shanter Country Club in Michigan and Longboat Key Club in Florida for many years. He was very devoted to his family, and their welfare was always his top priority. He said that he felt he was captain of the family ship and that it was his responsibility to steer a safe course, avoid all shoals and never endanger the family ship. He ful- filled his self-imposed responsibility. Norman had a very close and loving relationship with his entire family. She is sur- vived by her son, Alan Goldberg of Waterford; Goldberg grandchild, Lissa (David Heartlife) Lev Chaya; great- grandchild, Kai; good friend, Debbie Cohen; many other loving family members and friends.
