is the loving daughter
of Tammi and Scott
Cooper
Cooper and sister of
Adam and Joshua.
Sharing in this special occasion will be
proud grandparents Sarah and David
Waldshan, and Hannah and Jerry Cooper.
Elisha is an eighth-grade student at
Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit
in Farmington Hills. Among her many
meaningful mitzvah projects, she enjoyed
volunteering weekly at Fleischman
Residence in West Bloomfield.

Maggie Erin
Eisenberg, daughter

of Darcy and Jason
Eisenberg, will read
from the Torah as she
becomes a bat mitzvah
on Friday, Oct. 30, at
Temple Israel in West
Eisenberg
Bloomfield. She will be
joined in celebration
by her brothers William and Eli as well as
proud grandmothers Arlene Licht and
Nina Eisenberg. Maggie is also the grand-
daughter of the late Ronald Licht and the
late David Eisenberg.
Maggie is a student at Bloomfield
Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills.
While honoring the memory of her late
grandfather, Maggie continued his work
with Project Healthy Community, deliv-
ering food from Gleaners and Forgotten
Harvest to more than 350 Northwest
Detroit families; she will continue this
meaningful work the fourth Thursday of
every month.

in prayer on the occa-
sion of her bat mitzvah
at Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield on
Goldman
Saturday, Oct. 31. She
will be joined in cele-
bration by her brother Ben and proud
grandparents Margo and Michael
Goldman, and Patricia and Joseph Selik.
Sarah is also the granddaughter of the
late Barbara Selik and the great-grand-
daughter of the late Rose Selik.
Sarah is a student at Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield. As
part of her mitzvah experience, she
participated in the Relay for Life in West
Bloomfield in memory of her grand-
mother Barbara Selik. She found this
experience to be very meaningful.

Emma Goldschmidt,

became a bat mitzvah
at Congregation Shir
Tikvah in Troy on
Goldschmidt
Friday, Oct 23. She
was joined in celebra-
tion by her proud sister, Anna; delighted
paternal grandmother, Jean Goldschmidt
of Lexington, Ky.; and maternal grand-
parents, Jacqueline and James Buysse of
Lansing. Emma is also the beloved
granddaughter of the late Carl
Goldschmidt.
Emma is a student at the Roeper
School in Birmingham. For her mitzvah
project, she was a teacher's assistant for
young dancers at the Dance Academy of
Bloomfield Hills.

October is National
Orthodontic Health Month!

For those who don't know, October is National Orthodontic Health
Month.This is a month long event organized by the American Association
of Orthodontists, or AAO. During October, members of the American
Association of Orthodontists (AAO) conduct a wide range of activities to
educate dentist, orthodontists and their patients about protecting their
teeth during Halloween, as well as share information about the
benefits of orthodontic treatment.

Bloomfield Township.
Her grandparents are
Eleanor Blum, Jerome and Arlene

Becky Stapleton.
Alexandra attends Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield. She
is in eighth grade. Alexandra is part
of the Links Program at school, which

works with children who have disabili-
