Markowitz said "Ifs hard work, but
I have a real opportunity to support
my family:'
Lubaway said, "Franchise owners
like Progressive Strides LLC are the
reason I went into this field. When
people ask what I do, I get to answer
that I help people fulfill their dreams
of business ownership:'

COMMUNITY LINKS
Community is everything to
Rothberger and Lubaway, who credit
much of their early success to the
Detroit Jewish community.
Rothberger is a product of Hillel
Day School, Tamarack Camps, BBYO,
JARC, Congregation Beth Ahm, the
Jewish Community Center and many
other organizations while growing up
in Farmington Hills. He is currently
serving on the board of the JCC and
is the president-elect for the Michigan
BBYO commission. He will serve as
its president starting next year.
Lubaway attended Tamarack camps,
Temple Shir Shalom and was president
of Hank Greenberg AZA #151. He
continues to give back through volun-
teer work in the Jewish community.
"Not only are we a product of our
Jewish community, but so is our
business. We owe a lot of gratitude
to Hebrew Free Loan for making
our dreams of business ownership
come true said Rothberger. He
and Lubaway were able to obtain a
Marvin I. Danto Small Business Loan
through Hebrew Free Loan to aid in
the startup of their venture.
In addition to providing vital
finances, the loan also provided
moral support for the pair. Having
an organization to back them up and
believe in the business as much as
they did was a confidence booster.
Rothberger and Lubaway have high
hopes for Jan-Pro Detroit and believe
that their integrity and desire to help
people will carry them forward and
allow their business to be a jumping
off point for other entrepreneurs.
"Between our mentors, our com-
munity and Hebrew Free Loan's
support, we were able to do this:'
Lubaway said.
With everyone talking about
keeping entrepreneurs in Michigan
and keeping young people here, the
Jewish community was there to give
these two entrepreneurs the start
they needed.
Jan-Pro Detroit is on Facebook
and has a website at www.
janprodetroit.com . Its offices are
located in Southfield. Its phone
number is (248) 936-0300. *
