unteered monthly for the bingo games

Bloomfield, finding time with the resi-
dents to be very rewarding.

Jillian is a student at West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills. As part of
her mitzvah project, she participated
in J-Serve, where she helped to orga-
nize games at senior citizen homes and
helped to clean up inner city parks.
Austin Jared Miller,

his celebration will be
his brother Logan and
proud grandparents Sharon Gold, Harold
Gold and Bobbi Miller. Austin is also the
grandson of the late Mike Miller.
He is a student at Walnut Creek
Middle School in Walled Lake. As part
of his many mitzvah experiences, Austin
collected more than 1,000 pop can tabs
to donate to the Ronald McDonald
House. The funds generated from
recycling these help offset the House's
expenses so it can serve as a home away
from home for seriously ill children and
their families.

on Saturday, Oct. 10, at

Bloomfield. She is the

Jake and Noah. Joining
Ellie in celebration will
be her proud grandparents Kay Kutinsky,
Sandy and Frank Kutinsky, and Gail and
Harold Provizer. Ellie is also the grand-
daughter of the late Joan Provizer. She is
the great-grandchild of the late Julia and
Bill Barris, the late Elsie and Morris
Kutinsky, the late Rose and Jack Provizer,
and the late Vivian and Lou Berry.
Ellie attends 0. E. Dunckel Middle
School in Farmington Hills. As part of
her mitzvah experience, she volunteered
at the Holocaust Memorial Center, where
she raised funds and awareness to help
support educational programs for public
school students, who might otherwise
not have the opportunity to visit the cen-
ter. At her bat mitzvah, she will be twin-
ning with Anna Klein, a young girl who
perished in the Holocaust.

sisters are Maya and
Nora Skolnik. Along with her grand-
mothers Marcia Freind and Marla
Skolnik, many of Stella's friends will cel-
ebrate with her.
Stella is in the seventh grade at Hillel
Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. Her mitzvah project
focused on the Detroit-based PeerCorps,
which involved volunteering at the
St. Joseph Health Center and D-town
Farms.
Julia and Bridget Spilkin
Bridget Sadie Spilkin (Cayla Bina) and
Julia Elisabeth Spilkin (Ilana Leah) will
each be called to the Torah as a b'not
mitzvah on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Temple
Kol Ami in West Bloomfield. Bridget
and Julia's proud parents are Sharon and
Andy Spilkin. Sharing in the joy will be
the girls' grandparents, Larry and
Susann Spilkin, and Peter and Ida Wolf.
Bridget and Julia are eighth-grad-
ers at Berkshire Middle School in
Birmingham. As part of their mitzvah
experience, they baked and distributed
homemade cookies to cancer patients.
The mitzvah project was especially
meaningful as their grandmother is bat-
tling breast cancer.

a bar mitzvah on
Saturday, Oct. 10, at

brother to Zachary and Jonah. Sharing in
his celebration will be his proud grand-
parents, Anita and Ronald Taylor, Eileen
and Sidney Bradley, and Carol and Larry
Wittenberg. Also participating will be
Sam's great-grandmother Betty Taylor.
Sam is an eighth-grader at West
Hills Middle School. Among his many
mitzvah experiences at JARC, his most
meaningful is volunteering annually at
the JARC Chanukah party.
