Jonathan Tukel

Assistant U.S. Attorney

in the Eastern District of Michigan

This event is free and open to the community.

Jonathan Tukel has been an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of
Michigan since 1990. He led the team which prosecuted the so-called Underwear
Bomber, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who attempted to destroy Northwest Flight
253 with a bomb over Detroit on Christmas, 2009.

Mr. Tukel is uniquely positioned to share never before heard insights into what
could have been one of the most devastating terrorist events since 9-11. He
interviewed the witnesses who were on the airplane and helped investigate the
details of a world wide terrorist network that threatens our everyday security. And it
happened in our backyard! See the photographs, videos, and hear the astonishing
facts which may not match with what you have read in the media accounts.
