Rosalie and Sol Kaufman Specialty
Village at Camp Maas in Ortonville.
Darren Findling, board president,
gave a recap of the progress achieved
this past year:
• The enhancements to the dining
experience have resulted in healthier
food being served with a wider selec-
tion of options.
• Tamarack's new sustainability
practices, such as the switch to a zero-
landfill waste management company
and introduction of single-stream
recycling, allowed camp to reduce
waste by more than 20,000 trash bags
this summer.
• Camp recently acquired a 24-acre
farm that will be incorporated into
future programming.
• The new Audrey and William
Farber Family Housing Village enabled

staff, longtime board member, peren-
nial camp doctor and devoted lay
leader, was honored with the 2015
President's Award. Aronow was instru-
mental in developing many of the
medical procedures used today as well
as working passionately as a champion
of Tamarack.
