A Holocaust survivor, he went back to Hungary and in 1948 became a swimming champion for the country, winning a Sugar Bronze in the backstroke c. 1951 and butterfly. Mr. Sugar was an active member of Congregation B'nai Moshe and gave gener- ously of his time to HOITIUST Yeshiva Gedola.
