A devoted supporter of Jewish causes, he was an active member of Adat Shalom Synagogue in Farmington Hills, where he served as a gabbai for decades. He was a member of several other synagogues as well, both in Michigan and Florida. Mr. Rose and his late wife, Miriam, were also committed to Zionist causes; and he, in particular, visited Israel many times. He was a lifetime member of the Free and Accepted Masons of the state of Michigan, Lodge #530.
