Jill, Nina and Amy Totenberg

famous violinist Roman Totenberg,
who died in 2012 at age 101. In 1980,
Roman's Stradivarius violin, worth
today about $15 million, was stolen.
The widow of a violinist who was
seen in the area of the theft brought
it in for appraisal last June and the
appraiser alerted the police and
FBI. On Aug. 6, there was a mov-
ing ceremony at the Manhattan U.S.
Attorney's Office in which the three
Totenberg sisters posed with their
father's beloved instrument.

Back in 2008, Jesse Eisenberg,
now 31, and Kristen Stewart clicked
on screen when they played high-
school seniors who worked at an
amusement park in the critical hit

Ironically, her char-
acter was Jewish
and his was not.
In a recent Today
Show interview,
they said they
have a kind of
Eisenberg
"nerdy chemistry"
together. Judging by advance reviews
and trailers, "nerdy chemistry" of
the best kind is found in the pair's
new action-comedy, American Ultra
(opening Friday, Aug.14). Eisenberg
plays Mike, a seemingly hapless
stoner who lives in a small town with
his girlfriend (Stewart). Mike doesn't
know that he was secretly trained
by the government to be a deadly
agent — he's a sleeper who doesn't
know he's a sleeper. The action takes
off when Mike is targeted by the
government for extermination and, in
the bat of an eye, his training comes
back to him and he fights to survive.
The bad CIA guy after Mike is played
by Topher Grace — most don't know
that Grace's paternal grandma was
Jewish.
